Tacos and Tex-Mex Deals in Beijing
Here are a few choices to try out for delivery, be it for Taco Tuesday, or any other day you find yourself craving Mexican and Tex-Mex.
These offerings from Home Plate BBQ are
Tex-Mex to the max. The BBQ Quesadilla, which is a staple of their menu,
is a quesadilla with the addition of your choice of barbecued chicken,
pulled pork or smoked brisket.
While they’ve also got tacos with
BBQ on the menu, Home Plate has recently brought in something new to the
equation: breakfast tacos. There are two options: pulled pork (RMB 188)
or beef brisket (RMB 198) and each comes with the addition of scrambled
egg, smoked bacon, pickled onion, cilantro and salsa.
Chile Relleno, which originally hails
from Puebla in Mexico, is a dish that can be readily found across the
Southwestern US which sees a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese before
being fried to a crisp.
The Local’s Chile Relleno Burrito (RMB
60) builds on that, encasing the cheese-filled pepper inside a layer of
rice and refried beans which is then wrapped in a flour tortilla. Coupled with a bit
of salsa to pour on top or dip, it’s a pretty satisfying vegetarian
meal.
Another dish on offer are chilaquiles, tortilla chips baked
in salsa and served with a poached egg. And of course, if you’re really
craving tacos, you can partake in their BOGO taco deal every Tuesday.

Ok, so these are tacos once again, but
they’re fit for a crowd. This Taco Tuesday option, which was just
dropped by El Mercadito up in Shunyi, features a number of options for
taco mixing and matching.
Available meats include flank steak,
carnitas, birria, chipotle shrimp and vegan chorizo aka tinga. They also
come with options for various toppings (starting at RMB 15 each) and
the option to add on sauces from the Pebble’s mercado. Scan the QR below
for more info and ordering.
Q Mex
Which, along with a brand new menu, are also offering up weekly deals (follow them on WeChat for more info).
Taco Bar
They’ve got delivery available on Meituan.
El Barrio
Perhaps
the most colorful Mexican restaurant in Beijing, they've also got some
dang good tacos on offer (personal favorite: the Chicharron tacos) plus a
great many cocktails as well. Also, you can now pick-up and save 15
percent on your order.
Las Musas
While their
all-you-can-eat Taco Tuesday deal might not be available for now,
they’re still offering happy hour deals and a few other discounts.
